Vicroads Photopoint

You can have your Vicroads driver licence photograph taken and have your driver licence renewed at Williamstown News & Lotto with our Vicroads Photopoint service.

Our Vicroads Photopoint is available Monday to Saturday from 9-00 am to 5.00 pm.

If your driver licence renewal notice indicates that you need a new image made and all the details on the renewal notice are correct, simply bring the notice with you to Williamstown News & Lotto and:

  • provide your existing licence as evidence of identity, if your licence is unavailable you must provide other documentation to prove your identity (see below);
  • pay the licence fee; and
  • have a new digitised image made.

If you can not provide your existing licence as evidence of identity you will need to provide other original evidence of identity documents as follows:

  • An Australian photo driver licence that has not expired by more than two years, or
  • A Victorian boat operator photo licence that has not expired by more than two years, or
  • A Victorian firearm photo licence that has not expired by more than two years.

If you cannot provide one of these documents you will need to attend a VicRoads office.

A new image will be made when renewing your licence at Vicroads Photopoint, even if VicRoads holds a recent digitised image on its database.

You may pay by cash, cheque (to be made out to Vicroads) or EFTPOS (savings or cheque account).

You will receive your new driver licence within five to seven working days.
